The oil that best matches each engine is different. Furthermore, even with the same type of engine, the selection is not always the same if all conditions including driving conditions are different.
For Moty’s, engine oil development begins with picking up and considering as many factors as possible, from engine design and materials to understanding all driving conditions. It covers every engine from normal vehicles on the street to tuning vehicles and racing vehicles on the circuit and from the old fashioned vehicle to the latest vehicles.
Because of this approach, the Moty’s engine oil series is diverse.
Furthermore, the response to the use of alcohol-based fuels in recent years is no exception. We also offer products based on M111, M114, and M219 to deal with these fuels for which it is difficult to form a sufficient lubricating film.

M110

In order to promote fuel efficiency, which can be said to be the demand of the times, low-viscosity grade products are becoming the mainstream, and with the aim of further fuel efficiency, the base oil itself is being reduced in viscosity while maintaining the product viscosity. On the other hand, engine protection performance, especially maintenance of wear resistance at low speeds, and evaporation of base oil due to cheap base oil should be taken into consideration.
It is also a fact that depending on the vehicle, there are concerns about oil loss through piston due to excessively low viscosity, increase in oil consumption and carbon in the combustion chamber, and deterioration in the quality of exhaust gas.
Under these circumstances, M110 is a proposal as an option.
For SAE 20 / 30, the base oil combination is composed mainly for the purpose of suppressing oil leak into the combustion chamber. For SAE 40, 50, and 60, functional additives have been blended in a well-balanced manner assuming use under high temperature and high load conditions in sports driving.

This product was developed for the purpose of suppressing pre-ignition (abnormal combustion) that may occur in a turbocharged direct-injected engine.
Against the background of the demands of the times to reduce CO₂ emissions and improve fuel efficiency, the engine is downsized and designed to obtain the same power as a conventional engine by installing a turbocharger and operating it from the low revolution range.
The low revolution range under such high load conditions is the area where the possibility of abnormal combustion is feared, and one of the causes is related to the components contained in the engine oil.
In consideration of these factors, the blending balance of the functional additives was designed exclusively for LSPI (low-speed pre-ignition), and the molecular weight distribution of the base oil was optimized to prevent the oil from rising into the combustion chamber.

This Product supports a wide range of vehicles from general driving of normal vehicles to all competition vehicles and balances pickup performance, high response performance, and durability performance at high-temperature and high-load conditions which can be said to be a trade-off performance at a high dimension. It is the most versatile product in the Moty‘s engine oil series.
The product is formulated with hydrocarbon synthetic base oils with excellent viscosity temperature characteristics and ester synthetic base oils with excellent heat resistance and solubility. SAE 20/30/40 viscosity grade is possible to minimize viscosity resistance and friction resistance by formulating carefully selected functional polymers which can flexibly follow the shear rate of sliding parts, in combination with multiple friction modifiers.
On the other hand, SAE 50 are designed with an emphasis on heat resistance and durability by not containing a functional polymer, suppressing friction modifiers from a viewpoint of the balance of functional additives.

This product is developed exclusively for clean diesel engines based on Moty’s original standards and does not conform to conventional diesel standards such as JASO DL-1.
Ingredients that can be sulfated ash, which is the main cause of clogging the installed DPF, also has the aspect of being an important functional additive in terms of cleaning the inside of the engine and improving wear resistance.
On the other hand, modern diesel vehicles are continuously increasing in output and engine load is increasing more and more.
Under these circumstances, by selecting Moty’s original materials and establishing a molecular weight distribution as a key technology, this product suppresses the inflow of sulfated ash by reducing the oil rise to the combustion chamber. As a result, it is possible to secure the life of the DPF and at the same time improve the engine protection performance.
We have made it a reality to maximize the performance of high-spec engine for a long time.

Now that engine design has changed due to environmental problems and the viscosity of engine oil has been further reduced. We continue to explore true high performance low viscosity engine oils, not only providing low-viscosity products, but also considering their use under high-load conditions.
As a result of promoting the suppression of vapor loss, which can be said to be a point to consider because of the low viscosity product, and the further improvement of wear resistance performance in the low speed range, this product is finally designed for each viscosity grade from the selection of base oil to the blending balance of functional additives.
Especially for viscosity grade 0W20, based on the fundamental review of the molecular weight balance of hydrocarbon-based and ester-based synthetic base oil contained in other viscosity grades, ester-based synthetic base oil has been formulated as the main composition based on our proprietary synthetic technology with a balance of newly adopted special polymers. It is a completely new product that can be said to be developed from scratch.
These three types of lineup target sprint races that emphasize response, and have some of their characteristics in quick response and excellent oil return performance. So to speak, it is designed to specialize the character of M111 on the response side.

This product is developed assuming the severe conditions of long-term driving under high-temperature and high-load conditions in areas where low-viscosity engine oil by a request from the point of engine design, and is not intended for daily long-term use.
This product does not contain a polymer and is composed of multiple ester-based synthetic base oils, optimized from the aspect of molecular weight distribution by examination of the chemical structure of each base oil.

This product is developed with the primary purpose of improving the "protection " required for high-load engines such as tuning engines that are within the allowable limit of strength by making full use of reinforced parts. We are targeting engines whose appropriate viscosity is equivalent to SAE 40-60 due to engine design, metal clearance, etc. Furthermore, we are focusing on maximizing engine performance by suppressing resistance caused by oil and ensuring fluidity as much as possible. In pursuit of maximum protection for each viscosity grade, the formulation that has been reached varies from viscosity grade to viscosity grade, from the selection of base oil to the blending balance of functional additives.
The SAE40 / 50 has a rich composition of ester-based synthetic base oil with excellent heat resistance, solubility and adsorptivity, while the base oil design of SAE 60 is different from other viscosity grades to ensure appropriate level, focusing on the deterioration of flow performance that may be a problem in high-viscosity products.

The ultimate engine oil that we have been challenging for many years is to achieve both the required performances of the two opposite poles at a higher level. That is to combine the following two concepts at an unprecedented level, the first concept is to reduce friction loss in order to minimize both viscous resistance and frictional resistance, and the second concept is to pursue heat resistance and durability so that it can be used for a long time under high-temperature and high-load conditions. M999 is the product that we found in this way.
The key to the completion of this product is the development of TRB 0450, a synthetic base oil with a new molecular structure originally developed by Moty’s.
TRB 0450 follows flexibly to the shear rate of the sliding part and has the characteristics that the condensed molecule changes according to the change of the shear stress. In other words, as the shear stress increases, the molecules condense without breaking, the volume decreases, and the volume is restored to its original condition when the pressure is released.
In addition, the viscosity under high pressure and high shear under the elastic fluid lubrication is also at an unprecedented level, which is proved by the silence of the engine like never before.
TRB 0450 makes it possible to reduce the functional additives that contain sulfur, phosphorus, etc., and it is also possible to reduce the risk of chemical attacks on the raw materials used in the engine.

In the traditional so-called mineral-based lubricant, it can be said that it is an aggregate composed of hundreds of different molecules. In contrast to the synthetic base oil that have become popular today, it also contains compounds with a broad molecular weight distribution and a complex three-dimensional structure. It contains molecules that give unique properties such as excellent oxidation stability and lubricity, which are superior as lubricants in the nature world. From the viewpoint of the fluidity and stability of lubricating oil, the degree of refining of crude oil has improved, and eventually it has evolved into a synthetic oil. The mineral oil has the originality that is the source of substances that depend on the natural world, though it must be a technical field that goes against the progress. The drivers with a keen sense of the driving parts of the machine feel a unique response with a slimy feel. The unique quietness and torque feeling can be experienced in the engine. The old fashioned-vehicle that has been developed based on such old-fashioned lubricants is still alive, and the performance-specific lubricants based on old-fashioned mineral oil is still desired.

This product is developed based on special mineral oil and full use of the latest Moty’s original functional additive balance, to meet the performance requirements of exactly old-fashioned vehicles and it supports a wide driving range from streets to circuits.
This product is designed with a certain amount of consideration given to engine startability in cold district and winter, while retaining the feeling of the original mineral oil that sets it apart from synthetic oils.

This product was developed to enable long-term use of old fashioned vehicles under high-temperature and high-load conditions.
An old-fashioned engine having roughers clearance than the current engine design. There is an impact load like hitting applied to each part due to this wide clearance. Taking this situation into consideration, the base oil is selected in consideration of the appropriate oil film under high surface pressure, and the balance of functional additives is also adjusted and optimized to realize the torque feeling and quietness unique to special mineral oil. It is a product and it is a product with high protection performance.
